Army Commander Assures Of Security In NYSC Camp, Lodges

THE Commander of 302 Artillery Regiment and General Support, Nigerian Army, Onitsha, Brig. Gen. A. M. Lapai on Thursday visited Anambra State National Youths Service Corps NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka-South Local Government Area of the State.

The visit was in line with management’s resolve to beef-up security in all NYSC formation and orientation camps across the federation.

During the visit, Brig. Men. Lapai assured the State Coordinator of more regular patrols and general security coverage of corps lodges and orientation camps.

According to him, the routine and regular patrol we are targeted at securing the youngsters and that it will give Corps members and management adequate sense of safety, which would spur them to effectively contribute their quota to Nation building.

Earlier, Coordinator of NYSC Anambra, Mr. Kehinde Aremu  thanked the Army Chief and appealed for constant synergy between the army NYSC.

He also appreciated him for the quality and conduct of his personnel, which has culminated in the overall success of the orientation exercises in the State.
