Monday Onyeme Foundation’s Scholarship: More Than 300 Candidates To Get N200, 000 Each From Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency

‎More than three hundred candidates have emerged successful from the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency who sat for the Monday Onyeme Foundation Scholarship aptitude test.

‎The successful undergraduates were selected from the nine hundred and two candidates that were shortlisted for the examination.

‎Out of the 309 successful candidates,73 emerged from Ndokwa East,140 from Ndokwa West and 96 from Ukwuani local government areas of Delta State.
‎
‎Announcing the results from the various wards and local government areas, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, said that the successful candidates would be given N200,000 each while the highest scorer would receive an additional N200,000, second highest score will get an additional N150,000 while the third highest scorer would be given an additional N100,000.

‎He disclosed that a female, Miss Ajoku Goodness was the highest scorer with 46 points, Ajede Chukwujindu, second highest scorer with 44 points while two persons came third, Ossai Nduka and Uzor Joel with 43 points each.

“The first person will get extra N200, 000, second highest position will get N150, 000 while third position will get N100, 000.

“Tomorrow, we will be at the Dennis Osadebay University for the aptitude test for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and after their test, a date will be announced for the presentation of cheques to successful candidates.

“Let us in our little ways, continue to support the growth of education, let us inculcate in our children the value of hard work,” the Deputy Governor said.

‎The students were earlier accredited for the aptitude test which held at Iyiatu Primary School, Kwale.

‎The Deputy Governor who personally supervised the aptitude test also joined in sorting and marking of the scripts with other officials.
‎
‎He disclosed that the aptitude test would hold on Sunday September 21, 2025 for candidates from the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency at the Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba.

‎He added that after the completion of the aptitude test, a date would be announced for the disbursement of cheques to the beneficiaries.
‎
‎In an interview, the member representing Ndokwa West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu lauded the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme for the scholarship initiative saying it has given hope to several students to successfully pursue their academic aspiration.
‎
‎He said that the Deputy Governor had commenced the scholarship scheme under his foundation before his political career, adding that the number of applicants and successful candidates have continued to increase.

He stated that any investment in education was the best.

‎Hon. Emetulu who is the Chairman, House of Assembly Committee Committee on Education, called on well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture to enhance the quality of life of the people even in little ways .

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe, former Commissioner Ernest Ogwezzy, were among those who joined Deputy Governor Onyeme and Hon. Charles Emetulu to supervise the test.
