FORUM of Non Sitting (Former) Members of the Delta State House of Assembly, has commiserated with the family of their late member, Hon. Rev. Mrs Catherine Ilolo, who died last month.

Members of the Forun led by Ogbuiji Aneke Ifemeni visited the family of the deceased on Wednesday at their residence at Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Ogbuiji Ifemeni on behalf of the group, asked the family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that the late Mrs Ilolo lived a good life.

He gave thanks to God for the gift of life and for protecting the immediate family during this trying times.

Aneke, who was the pioneer Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, noted that Rev. Mrs Ilolo was “a peaceful, loving and caring mother to the forum even till her death.

Also speaking, Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Rural and Community Development, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, stated that Mrs Ilolo’s lived a life of serving God and humanity, and that her records as a member of the Delta First Assembly, was never blemish.

Hon Okoro, who was the pioneer Speaker of the State House of Assembly and pioneer Chairman of the Forum, noted that Mrs Ilolo’s death came as a great shock to him and the entire members of the forum.

“I am consoling you as somebody who was directly close to Late Mrs Ilolo.

“Since 1991 when your late wife and I contested election in Isoko nation and by God’s grace won to the Delta First Assembly, we have been one family, even till her death.

“You can recall when the first Assembly was inaugurated and a motion was moved for nomination of the then Speaker of the House, she was the one who seconded the motion; so I have a very close time, relationship with her.

“When she was in the House, her records were never blemish and she was indeed a mother to us, and Infact her death came as a great shock to us all.

“It is of great importance for us to have it mind that God is aware of everything that has happened.

“We know that death came as a result of sin and that everyone will surely die, even as we pray God to give us the grace to live and fulfill our destiny.

“The Bible also clearly stated that there are some persons that will not see death; we should not blame God for anything, but rather we should take heart and pray God for his comfort,” Okoro said.

Also, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, who is the Senior Political Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Secretary of the Forum, prayed for God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.

Responding on behalf of the family, Chief Awheme aka Gwakilo thanked members of the Forum for the show of love and prayed that God will grant them journey mercies to their various destinations.

Rt. Hon Festus Ovie Agas, ( Fmr SSG ), gave special thanks to God Almighty for success that crowned the visit.

He also thanked the family of late Mrs Ilolo for taking solace in God.

Members who paid the visit were Ogbuiji Aneke Ifemeni, Rt. Hon Funkekeme Solomon, Rt. Hon Emmanuel Okoro (Pioneer Chairman), Rt. Hon J.F.K. Omatsone, Rt. Hon Festus Ovie Agas ( Fmr SSG ), Hon Ejaife Odebala, Hon Gabriel Okpuno, Hon Mike Ogwilaya, Hon Mike Egbowawa and Hon Benjamin Efekodo.
