Ogidi-Gbegbaje Says Public Presentation Of ‘The Experience’ Will Be A Big One

THE Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocols,  Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje  has said the public presentation of the book, The Experience will be a big event.

‘The Experience’ is a book about some seldomly projected features of Christian pilgrimage to Rome and Israel with significant acknowledgement of the deliberate efforts of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State in consciously encouraging and supporting the growth of Christianity in this part of the world.

Speaking on Wednesday at Government House,  Asaba when members of the Committee for the presentation of the book paid him a courtesy visit, Gbegbaje,  a Knight of the Catholic Church disclosed that he was conversant with the content of the book having worked closely with its author, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo,  Special Assistant,  Media to Governor Okowa during its production  stage.

He said, “I want to welcome everybody here; I am very conversant with this project and it did not come as a surprise to me that a formidable team was set up for its public presentation.

The Experience: Okowa, Bello, Ihedioha Call On Nigerians To Imbibe Reading Culture

“I am happy that quiet a number of persons have keyed into it and it is a good thing that he has used a high ranking persons – Barr. Fred Latimore as Chairman and Chief Christopher Oyemike as alternate Chairman for the project.

“Barr. Latimore is a well known figure, he has done his work so diligently that people are aware that there is communicator around.

“I hope and pray that what you have put together in a book will attract those who have gone on pilgrimage and those who have not gone on pilgrimage

“The task before the Committee  is a big one; the public presentation is going to be a big one, you can count on my support at all time.”

Earlier, Barr. Latimore had described the Permanent Secretary as a good man who has the fear of God.

He stated that the visit was to intimate Sir Gbegbaje officially about progress made in respect of the project, asserting, “my PS, you are a system man to the core, we will need your advise as we progress on this project.”

Comrade Egugbo also, thanked the permanent secretary for what he was doing to ensure a hitch-fred presentation of the book.

Also in the team that visited Sir Gbegbaje were Mr Uzo Okoro of Globus Bank, Hon. Ufuoma Onovughakpo, Special Assistant,  Media to Governor Okowa, Miss Grace Jesse of Maris Trust Council,  among others.

The team had earlier, visited the Commissioner for Finance,  Delta State,  Chief Fidelis Tilije where they had an interactive session.
