SENIOR Special Assistant (SSA), Project Monitoring and Evaluation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Hon. Emmanuel Okpemagware Omuvwie, has donated a 10KVA power generating set to Amuokpokor-Elume community in Sapele Local Government Area of the state.

The donation according to Omuvwie would boost power supply in the community as socio-economic activities have suffered due to the epileptic power supply from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).

Omuvwie, who is also, the Chairman/CEO of Kpemisco Nigeria Limited was represented by Comrade Egbesu Samson, Senior Accountant, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC ).

“Sequel to the non availability of light in the community, residents are finding it difficult to charge their phones; as such, with this generator, residents can charge their phones,” Honourable Omuvwie added.

On hand to receive the donation were the Chairman of the Community, Mr. Christopher Efe Obule, Speaker of the Community, Mr. Samuel Azu, among others.

Responding on behalf of the community, Mr. Obule lauded Hon. Omuvwie for the gesture and prayed that God will continue to protect and empower him so that he can do more for the community.

It would be recalled that the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Project Monitoring and Evaluation to the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had recently planted over 750 species of the masquerade trees along the community major roads, spanning about 2.5 kilometres.
