Okowa’s Nat’l Honor Was Long Deserved – Okonji

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s national conferment has continued to generate accolades, the latest being from the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oshimili South Local Government Area, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, who said that the award was long deserved.

Governor Okowa, who is also the Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP, was among other Nigerians who had distinguished themselves in their respective spheres of endeavor and were honored by President Mohammadu Buhari, recently.

Ogbueshi Okonji said that since the governor first assumed office in 2015, he had conscientiously ensured prosperity for all Deltans and that the dividends of democracy were evenly spread across Delta State, not minding the prevailing economic challenges.

According to him, Governor Okowa deserved the national recognition and more because he had long distinguished himself as a genius, having graduated as a medical doctor early in life and occupied various political ladder from secretary to local government to becoming a governor.

Okonji observed that the national recognition by President Buhari was a further testament to his (Okowa)’s commitment and competence for a ‘Stronger Nigeria’, adding that Deltans must support the governor to excel in his ambition and deliver the people to the promised land.

He commended President Buhari for the conferment on Governor Okowa and other Deltans.
