The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, on Sunday, led top government functionaries to pay condolence visit on Hon. Obi Nzete, Chairman, Ndokwa West Local Government Council over the lost of his son, Pastor Chuks Nzete.

Some of those who accompanied the Deputy Governor on the visit include Sen. Emmanuel Aguariavwado, the Senior Political Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon. Pat Ajudua, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief Patrick Ukah, Director-General, Capital City Development Agency and Sir Christopher Osakwe, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Asaba.

Sir Onyeme urged Hon. Nzete to accept the death of his son as the will of God.

According to the Deputy Governor, Hon. Nzete should not lose hope in God and be strengthened in his belief in God.

Also speaking, Sen. Aguariavwado said, “it is a truism that where we are going is nearer than where we are going but in this situation, it is not applicable, this is an irreparable loss, we know how painful it is.

“May God help you to heal, may God comfort you, only God knows, there is nothing that man can say to you that will strengthen you, it is only God that can protect you in the day and at night, may God give you good health because you need strength to withstand this pain ”

Hon. Nzete thanked the Deputy Governor for the visit stating, “we have accepted our fate.”

It was gathered the deceased was a Pastor and died at the age of 33 years.
