THE Executive Chairman, Delta State Internal Revenue Service (DIRS), Sir Monday John Onyeme, has bagged the “Nwanefulu Obodo 1” of Akoku Kingdom in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.

Onyeme was conferred with the title “Nwanefulu Obodo 1 of Akoku Kingdom” on Saturday by His Royal Majesty Isaac Orjieh the Okpala-Iku of Akoku Kingdom.

The Okpala-Uku said the title was in recognition of Onyeme’s commitment towards the growth of the people as well as the advancement of Ukwuani and Ndokwa nation at large, adding that as a great son of Akoku-Uno, Onyeme has impacted positively on the lives of the people in the community.

The traditional ruler stated that, “a man who has done very well will be celebrated, honoured by his community and friends”

“Onyeme has done very well and I am very very proud of him, his philanthropic lifestyle has cut across every wards in Ndokwa nation and beyond.”

In a brief speech, Onyeme thanked the Okpala-Uku, the people of Akoku Kingdom and other respected chiefs for finding him worthy to be honoured with such a prestigious title.

He assured the people that he will continue to contribute towards the growth and development of Akoku-Uno Kingdom, Ndokwa nation and Delta in general.
