Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has called on the political class to endeavour to give back to their communities by meeting the economic, social and medical needs of the people.

Sir Onyeme stated this while speaking during a free medical outreach in commemoration of the tenth year anniversary of late Mrs Anna Ossai, mother of the Secretary, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State chapter, Chief Dan Ossai at Isumpe community in Ndokwa West local government area.

The event held at the Isumpe town hall on Saturday.

The deputy governor said that the free medical outreach organized by Chief Ossai was commendable as it would afford the people the opportunity to get medical treatment and drugs at no cost.

He described the free medical outreach as a laudable initiative in memory of the late Mrs Anna Ossai, adding that the people would benefit from the outreach by enhancing their health status.

Sir Onyeme said that giving back to the society such as the free medical outreach would enhance the quality of health of the people and humanity as well as give the people a sense of belonging.

The Deputy Governor lauded members of the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Medical Professionals Forum for their support for the free medical outreach in Isumpe community.

He advised the beneficiaries to take their drugs and follow the prescriptions of the medical personnel in order to improve their health.

The sponsor of the free medical outreach and State PDP Secretary, Chief Dan Ossai said the health programme was organized in memory of his beloved mother, Mrs Anna Ossai who died ten years ago .

He pledged to continue to embark on programmes that would enhance the lives of the people in line with the MORE Agenda of the Oborevwori administration.

The Secretary of the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Medical Professionals Forum, Dr Jeffrey Ogochukwu Ajede disclosed that fifteen medical personnel from the forum were involved in attending to the health needs of the people.

He said five hundred persons would be attended to with medical test, provision of drugs and free eye glasses and commended Chief Dan Ossan for embarking on the free medical outreach saying it would help to address the health challenges of the people.
