Peace Is A Catalyst For Development, Says Onyeme

“This is because as a government, we attach so much respect and importance to the traditional institution.

“50 years on a throne in a kingdom and the kingdom is still very peaceful and very impactful and growing is not a joke.

“This is a rare achievement, very very rare and we congratulate you our respected King.

“Your Majesty, we thank you for piloting the affairs of this kingdom for solid 50 years, unblemished with a lot of progress, a lot of achievements as enumerated by the President-General.

“You have a health center, you have a primary school, you have a secondary school, you have roads and a customary court, and other government’s presence.

“These projects were possible because your kingdom is peaceful, traditional rulers should always keep their kingdoms peaceful, there are a lot of benefits that peaceful kingdoms enjoy.

“May God continue to guide you, may God continue to grant you good health, may God continue to give you that wisdom, which He has given you; may He add to it, so that you can continue to do that which you have been doing for the kingdom.

“We pray to Almighty God that you will reign for more years.

“We pray to Almighty God that by the fact of our stepping into this place to celebrate with you, more progress, more development and achievements will be recorded in this kingdom.

“I am sure that this kingdom still need you, the kingdom still need your fatherly wisdom, we still need your direction, we still need your fatherly guidance and God will grant you life in good health to be able to do more for our people.”

The President General of Ukwu-Nzu Development Union (UDU), Comr. Sam Osahenye, who spoke on behalf of the monarch noted that, through the conscious efforts of the monarch, different developmental projects were attracted to the community.

He enumerated several projects that were executed by government in the area and commended the Deputy Governor for attending the ceremony.
