The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) on Monday, paid glowing tribute to the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, as he celebrates his 60th birthday.
PFN, Delta State Chapter in a prayer session, said that Sir Onyeme deserved to be celebrated as a loyal Deputy Governor who is contributing so much to the development of Delta State.
Speaking through it’s state Chairman, Bishop Abos Willie, PFN at the special gathering, said, “The presence of the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, in our midst today at PFN headquarter today is very unique.
“The Governor of our state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is here today by sending his Deputy to represent him.
“Our prayer is that when God gives you any job,, He should also give you the right people to be with you; the Deputy Governor is a round peg, in a round hole to our Governor and our state.
“As an individual, I have been watching Sir Onyeme since they took over governance in 2023, I have not seen any assignment that the Governor gave to him to go and represent him that he has not carried out.
“He has come here before, this is the third time that he is joining us in our programme, but this particular one of today is very special.
“Yesterday was the Deputy Governor’s 60th birthday; a lot of dignitaries, several Deputy Governors came into our state because of him. So, when I discussed with his Excellency, the Governor on this programme and he told me that his Deputy is celebrating his 60th birthday and he was not sure if he will be able to make it. But he is here today, even after the stress of the birthday celebration yesterday; he is just too much.
“If it were to be some of you, you will say, ‘don’t you know that I just celebrated my birthday, I can not make it.’
“This is why we celebrate you, Your Excellency and to commemorate it, we shall cut your birthday cake.
“Happy birthday Your Excellency!”
Responding, the Deputy Governor in an emotion-laden voice, said, “our fathers in the Lord, my brothers and sisters in Christ, I thank you for celebrating my 60th birthday anniversary with me, thank you.”
The event featured cutting of the birthday anniversary cake with the choir rendering happy birthday songs.
