MORE than 250, 000 persons have signed a petition against the release of the film, Habit which portrays Jesus as a lesbian.
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris will play Jesus as a woman in the film that is attracting outrage across the world with more than 250, 000 people signing a petition initiated by change.org against its release.
Change.org said the film was “beyond disrespectful to our Lord and Savior.”
Some of those who commented described Habit as “blasphemous, ” “Christianphobic garbage,” “portraying Jesus as a lesbian is heresy and wrong,”among others.
Organiser of the petition, Vivian N. of Beverly Hill, California, said, “A new blasphemous Hollywood film is predicted to come out soon depicting Jesus as a lesbian woman.
“Distributors haven’t picked it up as of yet, so let’s please spread awareness and wake people up to the Christianophobic garbage that is spread nowadays, but is somehow accepted and praised by society.”
“Habit is a thriller that stars Bella Thorne as a street smart, party girl with a Jesus fetish who gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out by masquerading as a nun.
“Paris Jackson then appears several times throughout the film to Thorne’s character as Jesus.”
The producer of the film, Donovan Leitch said, “Yes, we intentionally stacked the film with rock stars and will have a very rocking soundtrack.
Habit was already wrapped when productions were halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
