AS Christians all over the world prepare for Christmas, Rev. Fr. Victor Ijeh has said, the best preparation should be in seeking for genuine forgiveness of sins and avoiding occasions of sin.

According to the Catholic Priest, people are expecting a lot at Christmas but, the greatest expectation should be how individuals as followers of Jesus Christ will spend eternity.

FIRST SUNDAY OF THE YEAR: Don’t Despair, Relate With Jesus Says Fr. Ibegbulem

“It is important that we prepare ourselves for His coming, because His coming will bring us joy and peace.

“At this season of Christmas, we wear purple; it symbolises repentance and hope of resurrection.

“We should ask for mercy and repent from our sins as we prepare for Christmas.

We should genuinely seek for the forgiveness of our sins, because, our Lord, Jesus Christ, will come in glory to judge the living and the dead.

“Prepare for His coming.

“At this point, children will be happy, adults are happy too; everybody is expecting something at Christmas and we should always know that the prayer of sinner is an abomination before God.

“We must turn to Him to save us; we plan so much for Christmas, we should prepare for Christmas of eternity.

“We should prepare for His coming at Christmas and His coming in glory

“Pray for His grace, pray to be found worthy on the last day,” Rev. Fr. Ijeh stated.
