A Political aide to the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Comrade Emmanuel Ojighodovwan has donated two thousand school uniforms to pupils in some Public Primary Schools in Okpe LGA.
Comrade Ojighodovwan who made the donations in four schools in Okpe local government area, stated that the gesture was a way to give back to society and meet the needs of pupils in his local government area of origin.
Comrade Emmanuel Ojighodovwan who is a political aide to the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and People’s Democratic Party PDP Governorship Candidate of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori presented over two hundred school uniforms to pupils in Okugbe Primary School, Adagbrassa, Erhivwode Primary School, Amuokpokpor, Eruowho Primary School, Evwriyen and Okpe Primary School, Okwidiemo, all in Okpe LGA.
Comrade Ojighodovwan said it has been his passion to give back to the society by donating school uniforms to pupils in public schools.
He noted that parents in rural communities are not able to meet the demands of providing the basic needs of their wards especially in the area of education, hence the need to support them became necessary.
He noted that primary education is a necessity for every child and as such none should be denied this right.
Comrade Ojighodovwan said the gesture is his own way of complementing the huge intervention of his boss the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly Right Hon Sheriff Oborevwori in education.
He urged the pupils to shun all forms of social vices and take their education seriously.
The political aide to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly appealed to parents to always ensure that their children are well dressed to school.
Comrade Ojighodovwan promised to extend the gesture to other primary schools in Okpe LGA and used the opportunity to urged eligible voters in Okpe LGA to vote for Right Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor of Delta State and all the candidates of the PDP come 2023.
Responding on behalf of the pupils, head teachers of the various schools expressed joy over the new look of some pupils who are beneficiaries of the kind gesture.
They thanked comrade Ojighodovwan for his kind gesture and prayed God to continually bless his endeavours
The joy of the pupils knew no bound as they put on a new look while the distribution continues in other public primary schools.
