The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D., has called on Nigerians living in the diaspora to support ongoing development initiatives across Nigeria.

He reiterated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s commitment to delivering sustainable progress under the MORE Agenda.
Sir Onyeme made the call during a get-together with members of the Nigerian community in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America, on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor briefed the audience on key national milestones under the administration of President Tinubu and detailed the giant strides achieved in Delta State through the vision of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
He emphasized that the Oborevwori administration remains focused on driving infrastructure development, economic growth, human capital enhancement, and peace across Delta State under its “MORE” (Meaningful development, Opportunities for all, Realistic reforms, and Enhanced peace and security) framework.
”The progress we are witnessing today, both nationally and within Delta State, requires the collective engagement of all Nigerians, including our vibrant community here in the diaspora,” Onyeme stated.
He urged stakeholders in the diaspora to partner with the state government to tap into growing investment opportunities back home.
The event featured goodwill messages and contributions from key diaspora leaders and stakeholders, who commended the Delta State Government for its inclusive governance and proactive engagement with Nigerians abroad.
Among those who spoke at the occasion were Kingsley Dike, Cornelius Odinjor, Henry Nketeh, Kelechi Emeagi, Christabel Olukwu, and Dave Ogwu.
The speakers collectively praised the leadership of Governor Oborevwori and Sir Onyeme, expressing optimism about Delta State’s developmental trajectory and pledging continued diaspora collaboration to support development initiatives back home.
