This year’s Maris Annual Public Service Lecture as usual, promises to be a gathering of tested and trusted technocrats with the unveiling of a real estate operator, Mabel Ebele Magbulu, D.Sc, fcimn, fimc, CMC, as one of the discussants.
The immediate past Managing Director of Champions Breweries, Uyo, Sir Patrick Ejidoh will be the Keynote Speaker at the Lecture which has as theme, “Local Governance and Strategic Development.” The lecture will hold on its traditional date of Wednesday of the Holy Week, that is, the Wednesday before Easter Sunday and for this year’s edition, it shall hold on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at its usual venue, Unity Hall Government House, Asaba at 12 Noon.
Already, Maris Trust Council has revealed that Mr Charles Aniagwu who holds the portfolio of Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and that of Public Information in Delta State will be attending the programme as a discussant. Interestingly, Mr Aniagwu attended the same institution with the Keynote Speaker, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State.
The MTC in a statement signed by its Secretary, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, said that due to popular demand, Mrs Magbulu will be one of the discussants as her company, Eagles Height Properties & Investment Ltd, is involved in the provision of infrastructure in line with the topic for discussion this year.
“Maris Annual Public Service Lecture series is a very serious lecture, a platform where topical issues are discussed with the mindset of solving societal problems, this is one of the reasons that it holds every Wednesday of the Holy Week, which in a way, can be described as Holy Wednesday.
“Easter period, all over the world is a period of self reflection, so, with the solemn nature of the period, Maris Lecture is a platform for us to tell ourselves the truth without looking at whose Ox is gored, a platform to say, ‘yes! we have done wrong in this area and these are the best ways forward.’
“It is good that the society takes Maris Annual Public Service lecture serious that is why the Unity Hall is always filled to capacity and we thank God for making it possible every year for the lecture not only to take place but to be successful.
“Due to the topic for discussion this year, ‘Local Governance and Sustainable Development,’ a real estate developer and someone we can address as an award winning private sector operator, Mabel Ebele Magbulu, D.Sc, fcimn, fimc, CMC, is attending this year’s edition as one of the discussants.
“Already, a successful technocrat, a former President of the Student Union Government who just retired from Champion Breweries, Uyo as its Managing Director after putting in 33 years in the public service, Mr Patrick Ejidoh will be the Keynote Speaker.
“Also, Delta State-born communication expert, Mr Charles Aniagwu who is the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and the Commissioner for Information in Delta State will also, attend the lecture as a discussants.
“The lecture will have four discussants and with the announcement of Mr Aniagwu and Mrs Magbulu as discussants, in the next few days, we shall reveal the two other discussants to the public and based on the topic for discussion, one of them will be a serving Chairman of a local government council.
“MTC led by Sir Kenneth Olise, Ph.D, FCA, JP, in its characteristic manner of providing background information on the personalities that will play different roles at the lecture, presents the profile of Mrs Magbulu as told by her, happy reading,” Egugbo said.

My Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Studies from the Atlantic International University, Honolulu, USA, is due in a few months. I am a holder of diplomas with the Vally Mart Computers & Secretarial College, Benin City – 1998; a graduate of the National Business & Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) – 2000; and an diploma holder of the International Bible Academy, New York, Lagos Study Center – 2015.
My West African School Certificate was obtained in 2008. My foundational educations were very strong and they gave me a solid background with which to venture in life with understanding and clarity of mental processes.

PUBLICATIONS
In 2012, I wrote and published the book, “Reproductive Health Anatomy” aimed at giving young girls an understanding of the uniqueness of their beautiful bodies, and how to take care of it.
In 2020, I summated my knowledge and experiences as to how I attained the level of success I had in the book “Determination: All You Need to Reach the Sky” to assist the next generation and peers to better focus on their diverse paths to achieving greatness.
In 2024 I published “The Influence of Light”, and “Your Life in Christ” , since 2021 I have been writing a daily devotional “Walking with Jesus”. I have also written and presented several papers to business, religious, and social fora.
