REV. Fr. Victor Ijeh on Sunday morning,  admonished Christians to always do the right thing as the best way to avoid temptation.

The Priest made the call in a Homily that he delivered at the Catholic Church of the Ascension,  Asaba,  Delta State.

“Resist every temptation; resist doing something that is evil.

“As you journey with Jesus for 40 days, resist temptation in other not to spoil your Lent.

“The devil knows your weaknesses, it knows what you love so much and also knows what to use to entice you, so, it will use those things to entice you.   But, resist every temptation as you journey with Jesus for 40 days; resist temptation in other not to spoil your Lent.

“If Jesus could be tempted by the devil,  be ready to face temptation; temptation must come, but be ready to resist.

“When temptation comes, be ready to resist it; that others are doing it does not make it right; do the right thing, be able to resist temptation,” Fr. Ijeh said.
