The meeting had in attendance former Minister of State for Agriculture Chief Chris Agbabu, Chief Godwill Obielum, Former Gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Chief Solomon Arenyenka and Hon. Godwin Toritseju Abigor (both of the PDP Campaign Management Committee), Elder Moses Iduh, Chairman Delta North PDP Campaign Committee and other prominent stakeholders.

Addressing the stakeholders, Dr. Uduaghan said just as he has been moving round the state, he was in Asaba to appeal to the stakeholders of Delta North PDP to put away their grievances so that the party can move forward in order to win the 2023 general elections.

“I am here to provide my usual reconciliation table for those who are still aggrieved to air their minds so that we can deal with the issues so that our party can move forward. The PDP must continue to shine in Delta State. This is our state.”

Dr. Uduaghan used the opportunity to reaffirm his loyalty to H. E Chief James Ibori, former Governor of Delta State and Leader of the Ibori Political Dynasty.

He said, “If you hear from me, you have heard from our leader Chief James Ibori. He is aware of all the moves I am making to reconcile the party ahead of the election.

He tasked the stakeholders with delivering Delta North for their son, H.E Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State and Vice-Presidential candidate and all PDP candidates.

“We have the strongest Vice Presidential candidate in Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who is your son. He is a very smart politician. He will ensure that Deltans will not “carry last” in Abuja.

“Let us remain focused in our party so that we can stand firm behind Okowa more than we are standing now. Let us be committed to our Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates more.

The Immediate Past Governor said the 2023 elections will be the most interesting in the history of elections in Nigeria.

“This election is about grassroots campaign. It is not a big man election. This is one of the reasons some of us are going around appealing to the consciences of party men and Deltans to vote for our party”, he concluded.
