“We therefore pass a vote of implicit confidence on you and be rest assured Your Excellency that IPAC as an Advisory body will countinue to contribute its own quota in ensuring that your M.O.R.E agenda is actualized.”

Prince Eze assured that IPAC would continue to strengthen inter-party relations and strengthen the existing cordial relationship between political parties in the state and the Government.

While commending Governor Oborevwori for providing the enabling environment leading to the successful conduct of their election, Prince Eze said; “we have no doubt that your administration which has created an excellent Inter-Party harmony will continue to support us to achieve our enterprise set objectives.

“Paramount in our programme this year is the anticipated Local Government elections which will test our strength as Political Parties.

“As the tenure of Local Government Chairmen and Councillors wind progressively to their end, we appeal to you to kindly, speed up the process leading to a fresh Local Government election just as we appeal to you to ensure a level playing ground for all political parties in the State.”

Earlier, immediate past Chairman of IPAC, Comrade Emeka Bidokwu had commended Governor Oborevwori for supporting his administration.

Responding, Governor Oborevwori congratulated Prince Eze and his delegation for their peaceful election and inauguration into office, saying; “the good thing is that Inter-party Advisory Council is very critical to this administration. Why IPAC is very important in this administration is because they act as checks and balance.

“We believe in constructive criticism. We are not saying that you shouldn’t criticise us, but if we are doing well as a government like you have just acknowledged, then commend us.

“You are free to criticise us because that is the work of IPAC; to act as checks and balance.

“I will continue to look forward to a stronger partnership with you as you advance the course of good governance in Delta State.”

On Local Government election, Governor Oborevwori said the election will be conducted very soon, saying “Once the Commission comes with their guidelines, we will hold the election and I believe that Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, will do their work.”
