Onyemeh Emerges As CDC Chairman

THE Okpala-Uku of Umusam, Utagba-Ogbe, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, HRH Ijese Onyenweani has inaugurated Comrade Basil Onyemeh as Chairman of Umusam Community Development Committee (CDC).

Inaugurating the committee at his Palace on Thursday morning, the Okpala-Uku urged them to put the interest of the community first before any other consideration.

While expressing confidence in the ability of the Onyemeh-led committee to be selfless in their activities, Okpala-Uku Onyenweani charged them to use their contacts to attract development to Umusam-Ogbe.

He prayed for them, emphasising that the community will give them the necessary support for them to succeed.

Responding on behalf of members of the committee, Comrade Onyemeh thanked the people of Umusam Ogbe for the confidence reposed in them, and called on the people to continously support members of the committee to enable them deliver on their mandate.

He urged the people to be united, noting that with unity, developmental projects would be attracted to the area.

Other members of the committee include, George Enubuzor (Secretary), while Sunday Odokwu, Frank Echigbue, Chukwutem Edike, Uti Friday, Famous Okuesum and Solomon Okuwe were inaugurated as members.

 

Newsden learnt that the position of Chairman of the CDC is rotational among the families in the oil-rich community.
