Onyeme Says No Discrimination In PDP

DEPUTY Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has said that there is no discrimination in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Sir Onyeme made the disclosure on Friday when an international businessman, Chief Festus Oneh, visited him at Government House, Asaba to find out what it will take for him to be a card-carrying member of the PDP.

According to the deputy governor, PDP has entrenched democratic process that is very accommodating to its members as they work to make life better for Nigerians.

He thanked Chief Oneh for making up his mind to be actively involved in politics and deciding to join the PDP.

Onyeme said, “I am very happy to welcome you to our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; I am also very happy that without anybody influencing you, you decided to join our party.

“It is a thing of joy that you took this decision and I know that with your wealth of experience, within and outside Delta State, you will be able to join others in working for our party, especially in Ogume, Ward 6.

“I want to assure you that you will be accorded all the rights and privileges that are enjoyed by members of the party; in PDP, there is no discrimination and members are free to express their democratic rights.”

The Delta North PDP Chairman, Chief Moses Idu and the Secretary of the party, Chief Dan Ossai who were present during the visit also expressed their joy that Chief Oneh have decided to play active politics using the PDP as a platform.

Chief Festus Oneh said that he saw PDP as a symbol of light, hence he took the decision to join the party.

Chief Oneh who is an International businessman said that the APC administration had brought hunger and darkness to the whole country and urged other Nigerians to join the PDP to make the country better.

He said he would use his position to attract socio-economic development to his people, as well as work for a more united and progressive party.
