The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D., has stated that peace is the essential catalyst for development to flourish.
He made the statement on Saturday while speaking at the 60th birthday anniversary celebration of the Obi of Aboh Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Dr. Greg Oputa III.
The event which took place in Aboh, was also used to celebrate one year in office by the Obi.

The Deputy Governor emphasized that without peace, sustainable progress is impossible.
He commended the Obi of Aboh for uniting his people and ensuring peaceful co-existence within just one year on the throne.
”Some months ago when I was here in Aboh, we emphasized that once peace is achieved in a kingdom, progress becomes faster and more sustainable.
“Today, I can confidently say there is peace in Aboh Kingdom, and I am certain this kingdom will progress beyond our expectations in the coming years.
“I am very happy that when His Imperial Majesty ascended the throne, he immediately began the healing process.
“He is a king with age on his side, as well as strength, knowledge, and experience.
“I am sure he is already bringing this wealth of experience into the administration of the kingdom.
”Before his fourth year on the throne, I am confident many new investments and opportunities will emerge for the benefit of the people.”
Sir Onyeme congratulated the monarch on his birthday and prayed for divine guidance and continued wisdom.
