The Catholic Priest of St. Mulumba Chaplaincy, Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Rev. Fr. Andrew Ugochukwu Anah , Ph.D has said that the quest for priesthood is mysterious and the desire for selfless service to God and humanity.

Rev. Fr. Anah stated this at the St. Mulumba Catholic Chaplaincy during the 15th anniversary of his ordination and others as priests.

He said that it was a thing of joy to celebrate the day that God had called them to render service, stressing that the fact that they were all alive was enough reason to thank God.

Rev. Fr. Anah, reiterated that the determination to serve God in totality and lead others to embrace God motivated him into priesthood .

While clarifying that whenever any catholic attached ” Mother Mary ” in their prayers, it implied that they recognized the foundation of theology, Rev. Fr. Anah admonished Christians to always be faithful and trust in God despite the prevailing challenges ravaging the country.

In an interview with newsmen, one of the elder brothers of the priest, Chief Okechukwu Anah, popularly known as Chief Eyisi Ochudo and the catechist of the church, Mr. Onyeka Ojedibie described the Chief celebrant, Rev. Fr. Anah as a quintessential man of God with absolute call from God .

Chief Anah said that the priest , whom.he hinted was his younger brother and prayed God to guide and protect him .

Mr. Ojedibie stated that the Rev. Fr. had continued to bring meaningful impact to the church just as he maintained that he had always been guided by the doctrines and principles of priesthood.

Also speaking, one of the priests that was ordained with Rev. Fr. Anah, Rev. Fr. Francis Onwordi Jnr, said that they were ordained as priests on August 15, 2009 by His Lordship, Most Rev. Michael Elue , the Catholic Bishop of Issele-Uku Diocese.

He noted that the day coincided with the day the church celebrated the solemnity of the Assumption of the blessed virgin Mary , saying that every year, their class of ordained priests gather together to thank God for choosing them to serve Him and serve humanity.

Recall that the priests celebrating the thanksgiving to God included; Rev. Fr. Justin Anthony Anene, Rev. Fr. Andrew Ugochukwu Anah, Rev. Fr. Donatus Chukwedo, Rev. Fr. Isidore Igwekaile, Rev. Fr. Malachy Okonkwo, Rev. Fr. Peter Omezi , Rev. Fr. Francis Mekako and Rev. Fr. Francis A. Onwordi Jnr.
