The Chairman of Ika South Local Government of Delta State, Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, has advocated for stringent measures to tackle the high incidence of drug abuse among the youths in the area and the rest of the country.

Ehiwarior made the call when the Delta State Commandant of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA), Bar. Abubarkar Wadu, paid him a courtesy visit in his office on Wednesday, at Agbor.

The council boss said the increasing cases of drug abuse in the area had become a source of concern not only to parents but government and other critical stakeholders.
