One Year Anniversary: Idion Congratulates Ika South, Ika Northeast Council Chairmen

Renowned Community leader and Stakeholder of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Chief Peter Idion, the Adolor-Dein of Agbor kingdom, has congratulated both Chairmen of Ika South and Ika Northeast Local Government Councils, Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior and Hon. Hunkamma Monday Odigwe, respectively, for their unwavering commitment to the people as they mark one year anniversary in office.

Chief Idion, who doubles as the Chairman, Delta State Traffic Management Authority (DESMA), in his goodwill message, commended the developmental strides of both council Chairmen, describing their impact as unprecedented and peoples oriented.
He applauded the track records of the duo, among which of Ika South LG Council chairman, Hon. Engr. Ehiwarior includes construction of an altra modern market at Alihami community, construction of 1.15km road with dual drainage system on Abude Street, completion of Edike Bridge with link road, Dual drainages and Solar-Powered street light by Orogodo River, construction of Fruits Stores at Edike Street junction by Old Lagos/Asaba Road, Agbor, ongoing construction of Health Centre at Abavo, ongoing construction of over 480 stores and lock-up shops at Ekuku-Agbor market, among others, while that of Ika Northeast LGA Council chairman, Hon. Hunkamma, positive initiatives includes the construction of Upper Efeizomor road, construction of park at Ebu-Owa modern market, ongoing construction of an administrative complex at Ika Northeast LG Secretariat, ongoing construction of a civic center at Ute-Erumu, among others.

Chief Idion expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the executed projects by the duo while in a bid to transform both local government areas under Ika Federal constituency for sustainable growth.

“Their impacts, in just one year in office, are unprecedented and of people’s oriented projects. They have proven to be resourceful youths by providing governance to the grassroot, thereby putting smiles on the faces of the people while we the elders are filled with profound gratitude, “Chief Idion expressed.

He equally congratulated serving councillors of the two local governments, particularly their principal officers, appreciating them for their cooperations which according to him, provided the ground for the chairmen excellent performances under one year of their administration. Meanwhile, he encouraged the councillors to continue to work in harmony, and as well promote peace.

Speaking further, the erudite scholar urged residents to support both Council Chairmen by ensuring the good use of the projects, stressing that infrastructure development is a collective responsibility that will benefit future generations.

He concluded with prayers for both Council Chairmen, asking God’s continued guidance, wisdom, strength, and good health as they continues to serve the areas with greater achievements, adding that Ika South and Ika Northeast LGA would continue to enjoy peace, prosperity, and progress.
