The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D., on Saturday, joined dignitaries, family members, and well-wishers at Okurekpo Town in Ethiope East Local Government Area for the funeral ceremony of the late Mama Imoniunu Agnes Agofure Asuamrore.
Mama Asuamrore was the mother of prominent political leader, Rt. Hon. Akpodiogaga Emeyese.
Speaking during the event, Sir Onyeme expressed the state government’s condolences to Rt. Hon. Emeyese and the entire family, urging them to take solace in the impactful and fulfilled life led by the matriarch.
He noted that Mama Asuamrore’s legacy of devotion, service, and community development lives on through her children and the lives she touched.
The event drew top government officials, community elders, and political leaders from across Delta State who gathered to pay their final respects to the departed matriarch.
