Oborevwori Affirms Commitment to Citizen-Centered Governance

“My charge to you is to do things differently to upscale the desired impact expected by government and the governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori. You must put on your thinking cap, create result oriented ideas and drive them to logical conclusions.

“Your sensitization campaigns must get to the target audiences, especially our people in the rural communities, because they need to know their civic responsibility, such as payment of taxes, keep their environment clean, stay away from drug abuse, to see government projects as their project, to protect government property in their localities and be partners in progress with this administration. These are critical areas that you need to cover.

“Dr Latimore Oghenesivbe is somebody I know too well, we worked closely during the last general elections. He’s a hard worker and knows his onions, which is why am confident that the Bureau will achieve remarkable results under his watch.

“I thank His Excellency, the governor over Latimore’s appointment. I am pretty sure he shall do the needful to take the Bureau to the next enviable level.

“The State Orientation Bureau’s management is the first government agency to visit me since I assumed office on 5th February. This is another unique strategy by Oghenesivbe. I appreciate it, and will not take your visit for granted,” Osuoza assured.

Earlier, the Bureau Chief, Dr Latimore Oghenesivbe said the visit was to congratulate the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, for his well deserved appointment, noting that as a baby agency created from the Ministry of Information, it was most ideal and mandatory for him and the management team of the State Orientation Bureau to unconditionally pledge their collective loyalty.

He assured the Commissioner of maximum cooperation and healthy work synergy that would showcase the good governance strides of the state governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, noting that the governor is cruising at high altitude and very much in a hurry to turn every part of the state to construction site.

Oghenesivbe thanked Dr Osuoza and Directors of the ministry for the warm reception and quality hospitality accorded them during the visit, saying that the Commissioner’s wealth of experience and proactive leadership style would resonate as the captain of the state information team; to project policies, programmes and achievements of governor Oborevwori as encapsulated in the MORE agenda.

“Our visit is to congratulate you on your appointment by our amiable governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori You will recall that after your confirmation as Commissioner Designate, I put a call to congratulate you, because I was and still excited that someone who worked very hard to drive the governor’s campaign Media and Publicity strategies to fruition emerged as the leader of the state information structure.

“Delta State Orientation Bureau is a baby of the ministry of Information, and it is only fair and proper for me and the management team to come pledge our absolute loyalty to you and your office.

“We are ready to work with you from time to time to achieve set out policies and programmes objectives of the state governor as contained in the MORE Agenda.

“We appreciate your kind hospitality and the quality time you spent with us, and it is our prayer that God grant you good health, wisdom, longevity and the required resources to deliver on your assigned responsibilities as the Honourable Commissioner for Information, Delta State,” Oghenesivbe prayed.

Dr Oghenesivbe was accompanied on the visit by directors and the Assistant Chief Information Officer of Delta State Orientation Bureau, DSOB.
