Sinnoje Is Behind Media Attack On Nmah – NDESC

THE Niger Delta Economic and Socio-Justice Coalition (NDESC), has accused one Mr Mama Sinnoje, of masterminding media attack on the Chairman, Delta State Investment Development Agency (DIDA), Mr Paul Nmah.

NDESC in a statement said allegations of forgery leveled against Nmah was false, observing that his performance at DIDA has distinguished him as a credible person who is result-oriented.

“We the leadership of Niger Delta Economic and Socio-Justice Coalition (NDESC) condemn attempts by some faceless group masquerading as Niger Delta Movement for Peace, Justice and Development (NDMPJD), with one fake Comrade Oghenebrume Egbe as National Coordinator, to blackmail and defame the Chairman, Delta State Investment Development Agency (DIDA), Mr Paul Nmah.

“While not denying them their freedom to hold an opinion and express same within the boundaries of the law, we condemn the attempt by NDMPJD and its sponsor to blackmail Mr Paul Nmah, because of Mr Mama Sinnoje whose dubious activities have made to take refuge outside the country.

“The issues raised to say the least, amount to cheap blackmail and spreading of falsehood against Mr Nmah.

“We have it on good authority that Mr Mama Sinnoje who defrauded so many Igbo traders in Asaba, including Paul Nmah to the tune of over N200 million and absconded to Canada to seek asylum is the man behind the media attacks.

“As we speak, Mr Mama Sinnoje left his original passport in which he used as collateral for an unpaid loan.  Based on the fact that those he defrauded are looking for him, Sinnoje ran away to Canada where he is seeking for asylum with false ID, as his valid international passport is still being held in Nigeria ‘as a collateral.’

“A responsible media house would go all the way to balance its report, but we are surprised that where the materials against Nmah were smuggled into, jettisoned all known journalism ethics to rush to press without any effort to reach to Nmah who was falsely maligned in the obvious sponsored publication.

“We, therefore, urge the public, particularly the Delta State government and Deltans to disregard the baseless, concocted and malicious publication coming from a sinking man who the nation’s anti-graft agency, ICPC is closing-in on over his unsubstantiated allegations and may soon be declared wanted by the agency.

“It is also a common knowledge that the college Paul Nmah attended in the UK was one of the colleges that were closed in 2005, but surprisingly the blackmailer does not know that it was reopened as an online college only.

“Under the leadership of Mr Paul Nmah as the Chairman, Delta State Investment Development Agency (DIDA),  Delta State Government has recorded a lot of achievements from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed with investors and has attracted direct foreign investments worth billions of Naira to the State.

“One of such projects that are waiting to be inaugurated is the$20 million Umutu Gas Plant, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State in partnership with Platform Petroleum and over 600 Deltans have been employed there.   They are working and earning a living and many more persons were engaged at different levels of the construction stage of the project.

“Other ongoing key projects attracted by the agency include; Mechanic Village, along the express worth N5.6 billion, Warri Tanker Park worth N10 billion, among others which are in different stages of completion.”

The group gave organizations that published the falsified allegations against Nmah, 21 days to retract the publications or face the wrath of the law.

Attempts by Newsden to reach Sinnoje and Nmah were unsuccessful as they were said to be out of the country.
