The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), has announced its upcoming 2nd Virtual International Conference on Marketing and Digital Dominance, scheduled to take place between September 24 and 25, 2026.
This year’s conference centers on the theme,”Innovative Business Model: Leveraging Technology And Customer Experience In Emerging Economies.”
It is being organized in partnership with Ifex Express Limited and Goodwill Medical Center, and the conference aims to bring together academic researchers, industry experts, and thought leaders to explore modern marketing dynamics and technological transformation in developing markets.
According to a joint statement signed by the Head of Department, Dr J. O Abugu and the Local Organizing Committee Chairman, Prof. Geraldine Ugwuonah, the Department is calling for abstract submissions across 12 strategic sub-themes that include Fintech and Digital Financial Inclusion in Emerging Economies, AI-Driven Customer Experience in Emerging Markets, Digital Marketing and Data Analytics.
The two-day conference will feature a distinguished panel of international speakers and university leadership as Prof. Debbie Ellis of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa will take the center stage as Keynote Speaker while Lucy Kawesha of National Institute of Public Administration, Zambia and Dr. Stanley Jacob President, Fintech Association of Nigeria will be Lead Paper presenters.
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof. Simon Ortuanya will be the Chief Host while Prof. J. U. J. Onwumere, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Enugu Campus and Prof. Emmanuel Kalu Agbaeze, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration will be co-hosts.
Prof. Charles Obeta, a Lecturer in the Department and also Associate Dean, of the Faculty of Business Administration, told newsmen that the Department of Marketing at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, is dedicated to advancing academic excellence, industry-relevant research, and practical solutions in business administration and digital marketing strategies across emerging economies, expressing confidence that the conference, like the first edition, will be successful.
