THE Priest in charge of Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, Delta State, Rev. Fr. Hilary Ibegbulem, has admonished Christians to live their lives in preparation for the resurrection.
In a Homily he delivered on Sunday morning during the celebration of the Holy Mass at the church, Rev. Fr. Ibegbulem stated, “Believe in the resurrection, that is, believe in life after death.
“There is after life as we profess in our faith.
“Our faith teaches us that there is resurrection, so, we should live every second of our lives in preparation for the after life, that is eternity with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
“When God said, I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, it means that these men are alive in resurrection.
“Life does not end here on earth.
“When you believe in resurrection, you will remain firm in God, you will not waver.
“If you believe in resurrection, you should live your life like those who believe, live as a Christian.
“This is the time that we should prepare for the resurrection.”
The Holy Mass featured thanksgiving by parishioners.
