Erute, Others Eulogize Omagbemi For Uplifting Humanity, Uwvie Kingdom

The President-General of Uwvie Improvement Union, Chief Hope Erute , has asserted that late Pa Francis Tobi Omagbemi, father of an Information Officer in the Delta State Ministry of Information, Mr. Patrick Omagbemi played a critical role in the upliftment of humanity and Uvwie community in particular.

Chief Erute , who is the Oviemo of Uwvie Kingdom, stated this while fielding questions from journalists during the burial ceremony of Pa Omagbemi in Orerokpe, the Headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area.

He noted that the deceased had so much value for education, stressing that he impacted positively on his children and the society at large.

While saying that the deceased, who passed away at the age of 91 years was a very reliable and dependable partner in the development of Uwvie Kingdom, Chief Erute stated that the deceased would be missed by every individual he had affected positively.

He said that the children of the deceased were always committed and active in all Uvwie activities, urging them to sustain their efforts towards the growth and development of Uwvie Kingdom.

Chief Erute used the opportunity to commend Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as unprecedented infrastructural development across the state and expressed strong optimism that the Governor would be returned elected in 2027 to enable him consolidate on his M.O.R.E Agenda mantra.

Also speaking, a frontline community leader in Uwvie and the pioneer President-General of Uwvie Improvement Union , Chief Captn. Robert Akpojovwu(Rtd) described the deceased as a very unassuming individual and great asset to Uwvie community.

He urged the people of Uwvie, particularly those living in other parts of the country and in Diaspora to always remember home , adding that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had continued in his unwavering determination to transform the area as he is doing in every other part of the state.

In an interview, the chief mourner and one of the children of the deceased, Mr. Patrick Omagbemi described the death of their father and the patriarch of Omagbemi’s family as end of an era .

Omagbemi explained that their father was a bridge builder and astute disciplinarian, disclosing that he inculcated in them the virtue of hard work and perseverance and brought them up in the fear of God.

He promised to sustain the towering legacies of their father, assuring that he and his siblings would build on the existing love and unity in the family.

The burial was attended by notable personalities including the Delta State Chairman of the Bureau for Pension, Sir Eddy Ogidi Gbegbaje , members of Uwvie community in Asaba, the Director of Field Publicity in the State Ministry of Information, Mr. Salvation Ogono, the Chairman of Welfare in the Ministry, Mr. Charles Ojefia , Director of Administration in the Ministry, Mrs. Ogagifo as well as staff of Ministry of Information.
