THE member representing Okpe/ Sapele/ Uvwie in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Efe Afe, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) will emerge victorious in the local government elections scheduled for March 6, 2021 in Delta State.

Speaking when he paid a surprise visit to campaign for candidates of the party at Uvwie Ward 3 and 6 on Saturday, Afe said, “in the whole of Delta Central, I can confidently tell you that opposition political parties will find it very difficult to control any local Government.

“We knew what went wrong during the last general election that brought about another party member representing us at the Senate and wee are optimistic that we will emerge victorious in the local government polls.

“When you look around, you will see no postals, no billboards, no campaign train of other parties, how then do you expect them to win ?”

“Just recently,  our Governor approved 3 Universities in Delta; even the concession of the Asaba Airport which is geared towards industralising the state are positive actions that have further endeared our party to the people.

“With all the things I have mentioned,  we will no doubt emerge victorious come March 6th.”

High point of the activities for the day was a courtesy visit to HRM Emmanuel Sideso, OON, Abe I, Ovie of Uvwie for his royal blessings for the PDP candidates to emerge victorious on election day.
