In a bid to ensure improved educational system and provide accessible quality education for all , stakeholders have called on governments at all levels to advance measures to increase budgetary provisions for the education sector at least to 15% to 20% .

The Delta State/South South Coordinator of Civil Society Action Coalition Education for All, Augusta Impact Keneboh made the call when the coalition joined the global body to marked the 20th year of Global Action week on Education with the theme: investing in a just world -Decolonising Education Financing Now .

According to her , the Global Campaign for Education advocated that the sensitivity of education budget attraction was driven by an evidence-based approach to equity and efficiency, adding that there should be effective scrutiny of the education practice.

The CSACEFA Coordinator maintained that the organisation is saddled with the responsibility of creating a learning and capacity building platform to advocate, sensitise, engage and monitor, support and participate in government policies formulation, planning, programmes and projects implementation as well as hold government accountable for budgeting, allocating, financing and Implementation for social inclusion, accessibility, equitable quality education for all .

Keneboh opined that citizens needed to participate in budget processes, monitoring of interventions and ensure that resources were tracked especially in the most disadvantaged communities.

She explained that government should create room for effective engagement and inclusiveness of the citizens in their planning, budgeting and Implementation of critical educational policies, programmes and projects.
