The member representing Ndokwa West Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu, has begged members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the failure of Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi in the Senate.

Addressing prospective voters at PDP Community-to-Community Campaign rally at Inam-Abbi, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State on Monday, Hon. Emetulu said, “February 25 is for the first set of electiono and we are here to thank you for remaining steadfast with the PDP.

“PDP noticed that the suffering in Nigeria is too much, so, the party chose Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeany Okowa to rescue Nigeria.

“Among all those who are contesting for Presidency, it is only Atiku Abubakar that has the experience as former Vice President.

“We cannot also, forget the fact that since 1998, it is only the PDP that has shown commitment to sustaining Nigeria’s democracy, that is why we should vote for all the candidates of the PDP.

“We want to apologise to you for begging you four years ago to vote for Nwaoboshi Peter for Senate, unfortunately, when he got to Abuja, he became friends to wrong persons which made him to be a prisoner, so, today, nobody is representing us in the Senate.

“It is because, Nwaoboshi made mistakes that we looked carefully before we chose Prince Ned Nwoko, a man who has money, character and is well respected; we will vote for him for Senate because he will not fail our people.

“Because the youths deserve good space in this democratic dispensation, we brought out a youth, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi who is also experienced based on his activities at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, so, PDP is fielding credible, acceptable candidates for the elections.

“After the first set of elections, we will vote for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as Governor.

“We are all aware that there is no family that Chief Monday Onyeme will visit and make request that his request will not be granted.

“This is because, most families have been touched by Chief Onyeme’s philanthropist gestures either through scholarship, empowerment or other assistance.

“This is the time to say, thank you Chief Onyeme by thumbprinting the umbrella logo as that will make Onyeme to become our Deputy Governor.

“On the day that you will vote for Chief Onyeme is when you will vote for me, to return me to the House of Assembly; as your son, I have always briefed you about my activities in the House of Assembly and with Chief Onyeme as Deputy Governor, it can only be better, so, it is PDP all the way.”

Chairman, Campaign Committee, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ndokwa West chapter, Barr. Sam Osasa, has said that, “all the known politicians are in PDP; it is good that the elders have thrown their support behind the candidates of the PDP and the youths are speaking with one voice, that they will vote for candidates of the PDP five over five.

“The first election is that of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and our Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, that is, the Presidential election billed for Saturday.

“Also on this Saturday, Prince Ned Nwoko will be voted as the Senator representing us through the umbrella logo; Prince Nwoko has no opponent as his opponent is serving jail terms.

“Also, we will vote for Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi for House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor, Chief Monday Onyeme for Deputy Governor and Hon. Charles Emetulu for House of Assembly.

Chairman of the party in the area, Ogbuefi Lucky Okuji said, “PDP is here to thank you for consistently voting for candidates of the PDP, we are confident that you will do it again, so, thank you for believing in PDP.”

Some of the leaders who attended the rally include Hon. Azuka Azaka, Barr. Emmanuel Egri-Okwaji, Chief Ben Ogwu, among others.
