The Maris Trust Council (MTC), organisers of the Maris Annual Public Service Lecture series, has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary, acknowledging his dedication to rendering service to humanity.
MTC in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Chief (Sir) Kenneth Olise, Ph.D, and Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, note with admiration, Sir Onyeme’s passion for excellence in any field that he finds himself and asserted that he deserves to celebrate God’s goodness upon him at 60.
“It is with great joy that we at Maris Trust Council (MTC) congratulate the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, (FCA) as he celebrates his 60th birthday anniversary.
“From his antecedents, we note with joy the passion of Sir Onyeme for excellence, he can be described as a man with the Midas touch as one can recall vividly that the lecture he delivered at our annual Maris Public Service, that was at the heat of Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 and the topic was, ‘Effective Tax Administration For The Delivery Of Democratic Dividends,’ elicited heated debate from the participants.
“It is heartwarming to note that Sir Onyeme’s birthday anniversary is also coming just few weeks to another Maris Lecture billed to hold at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 12 noon. The topic for discussion at this year’s lecture is ‘Local Governance And Sustainable Development,’ and the Keynote Speaker is Sir Patrick Ejidoh.
“We, at Maris Trust Council, join family, friends, political associates and well-wishers to celebrate an exemplary philanthropist, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, on the auspicious occasion of his 60th birthday.
“In his six decades of existence, Sir Onyeme embodies contributions, particularly in the financial sector, where he has offered over 20 years of his and also, contributed immensely in boosting the internally generated revenue of Delta State.
“As a lover of education, he has not only impacted knowledge in the classroom as a lecturer, he has also, through the Monday Onyeme Foundation given scholarships to thousands of undergraduates to aid them in their studies.
