The Chairman, Governing Council, Delta State School of Health Technology, Ofuoma, Ughelli, Dr. Chris Oharisi, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will win in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Oharisi in a telephone interview on Tuesday with Newsden, disclosed that losing the area to opposition political parties in previous elections has rubbed off negatively on the people which should be corrected.
“On Wednesday, Ughelli North will host PDP Local Government-to-Local Government rally and I can confidently tell you that we want to change the narratives.
“Our people have played opposition roles for so long which we want to correct in the next elections.
“It is remarkable to state that despite PDP losing our area in previous elections, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration did not discriminate against us in the area of having a fair share of democratic dividends which we have to reciprocate in the next elections.
“Our people will vote for all the candidates of the PDP; our Governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is a true son of Urhobos and we will vote for him.
“Any Deltan who will not vote for PDP is not patriotic because, PDP has given us a Vice-Presidential candidate in the person of our performing Governor.
“We shall use the rally of Wednesday to tell the world that Ughelli North is home of PDP; there will be no kpobone kpobone,” Oharisi said.
