Monsignor Stephen Uzomah To Be Buried February 7

The remains of Rt. Rev. Monsignor Stephen Uzomah Okolie, a Catholic Priest would be interred on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

A statement signed by Rev. Fr. John Konyeke, reads:

Our Iconic Priest and Father in Faith, RT. REV. MSGR. STEPHEN UZOMAH OKOLIE has gone to be with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Msgr. Stephen Uzomah until his death was the Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Pro-Cathedral Parish, Asaba, Judicial Vicar and the Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku. He lived his life serving the Church with total obedience, clarity of purpose and pastoral solicitude with sincerity.

He admonished many of us in the values of the Priesthood, taught us how to serve and love God and the Church. His life continues to remind us of the Good Shepherd who went about doing the Will of God his Heavenly Father, and doing good.

The Diocese of Issele-Uku remains grateful to God for the Gift of this noble Man and Priest. Msgr. Stephen Uzomah, we are grateful to you for all you did for us. Dalu shinne shinne Nnam.

DATES FOR THE BURIAL:

Vigil Mass—6th February 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Asaba. 5pm

Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Cathedral Issele-Uku at 10am.

Kindly come and join us to commit to the Mother Earth, the remains of our dear Father and Priest—Msgr. Stephen Uzomah.

Eternal rest grant unto Msgr. Stephen Uzomah oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
