The Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Sir Christopher Osakwe, on Friday, charged operators in the Nigerian entertainment industry to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, and all other candidates of the party in the 2027 general elections.
Osakwe made the call when members of the Entertainment Movement For Oshimili North and South paid him a courtesy visit in Asaba.
According to him, President Tinubu has done very well to make the country more progressive with his unprecedented reforms.
The Deputy Chief of Staff emphasised that in Delta State, the positive impacts of President Tinubu’s reforms are being felt by the people, marking an end to the era of government owing salaries, long queues at petrol stations, and other challenges.
”Our Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, Ph.D., are champions of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President in practical terms, and all of us are beneficiaries, so, continue to send out the message through your professional activities.
”Grassroots mobilisation remains an important aspect of governance, as it provides avenues for the government to connect directly with the people, understand their concerns, and respond appropriately to their needs.
“Those of us in government would particularly love any group that is supporting Mr. President and supporting the administration of our Governor,” Osakwe said.
While calling on the group to expand its membership and reach, Osakwe added, “going forward, grow your numbers, grow your reach, and let the people feel your impact.”
He expressed confidence that sustained engagement with the grassroots would further strengthen communication between the people and the government, creating greater awareness of government programmes and policies.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the Entertainment Movement for Oshimili North and South (ENFONS), Hon. Frank Otoide, expressed the group’s readiness to mobilise support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
